Do you sell standard conventional bales?

We only provide Medium to Large Squares and Round bales.

What is the minimum order for hay or straw?

A unit load or Truck and Trailer is the minimum although it is possible to do a half load if the other half can be placed somewhere close to your location.

How do I know what is being delivered is good quality?

We guarantee the quality of our products. Our products are sourced, baled and freighted by quality contractors.

Where is the business based are your products sourced from?

The Hay and Straw Company is South Waikato based and all our Hay – Straw and  Balage is sourced either from the Manawatu, Hawkes Bay, Wairarapa or the South Island.

What is the best time of year to purchase supplements?

During the harvest season (December to March) as the products are produced and trucked straight from the paddock to your farm.

If I do not have storage to buy direct from the paddock can products be purchased after the harvest season when needed?

Yes, We have storage facilities in all our supplier areas. We aim to be able to supply products all through the year if possible.

Does the Calf Meal contain Palm Kernal and what is the minimum order?

No there is no PK in our calf meal only whole cereal grains and 1 tonne or 40 bags is the minimum order.
